We found a problem with the Realtek 8029 which breaks networking when used with WinGate. If you are using a network adapter that is based on the Realtek 8029 chipset you'll need to check this box.

The symptoms that you'll see if you have not enabled support will include:

Loss of connectivity for LAN clients through the WinGate server
Loss of network browsing services through WinGate server

You should restart the WinGate engine after checking this option.
From time to time we've found the need to add extra features to WinGate that don't necessarily affect all users, and that don't sit comfortably within the GateKeeper. The extra features now live in the WinGate Advanced Options applet.

You can open the applet from the Start menu (Start-->Programs-->WinGate-->Advanced Options).

You'll see an explanation of the features when you select them, this section of the knowledge base tries to explain the features more fully.
